Happy Healthy Vegan Friday! My co-host Kimmy and I are brainstorming ideas for how to make Healthy Vegan Fridays more fun! Since healthy is usually boring, we need an extra amount of fun to counterbalance it. So, if anyone has any ideas, please comment and let us know what ideas you have!
If you’re new to Healthy Vegan Fridays, read all about it here.
Here are the winning recipes that everyone voted for last week!
winner #1: Cinnamon Raisin Yeast Bread from Strength & Sunshine
In case you’re a raisin hater (which fork and beans refers to as RHers), you can make this with chocolate chips instead.
winner #2: 5 Minute Roasted Red Pepper Sauce from Sandi’s Allergy Free Recipes
This is a great idea! I have a stand at my farmer’s market that sells the ugly veggies for a third of the price, so this would be a great idea for all those inexpensive organic red peppers.
winner #3: Beet Muesli Cake from Chitra’s Healthy Kitchen
This red velvet dessert looks like it is delicious! It has an entire cup of beets in it! So healthy!
This week, in lieu of submitting a recipe, I will be packing for my trip to NYC. I’m leaving tomorrow, but if you’d like to share in my food eating adventure, feel free to follow me on instagram: @vegandollhouse.
