Happy Healthy Vegan Friday! My co-host Kimmy and I are excited to wish you a Happy Halloween, and to see all the Halloween-inspired recipes everyone shared last week.
If you’re new to Healthy Vegan Fridays, read all about it here.
Here are the winning recipes that everyone voted for last week!
winner #1: Spider cupcakes from our very own Kimmy of Rockmyvegansocks
I’ll be honest…I voted for these to win. They’re just too cute not to! I was planning to make cupcakes this year too, but someone canceled our vegan Halloween-themed potluck because she got sick, so no cupcakes for me :(
winner #2: Pumpkin Smoothie Recipe Roundup from Urban Naturale
I haven’t jumped on the pumpkin smoothie bandwagon just yet. I like pumpkin, but I’m fairly traditional with my smoothies, and I tend not to stray very far from my normal morning routine.
winner #3: Make your Own Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix from Gluten-Free A-Z blog
I haven’t ever owned pumpkin pie spice mix, so I don’t really understand the point of it. Is this a thing that everyone knows about but me? I guess if I only ever baked pumpkin pie, then I maybe wouldn’t already have cloves in my spice drawer, but everyone must have nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger, right? Right? Maybe not…
This week, I won’t be submitting a recipe to HVF, but I will try to share a picture of my bat truffles with you after I finish making them, which I plan to do as soon as I post this (late) entry.
Last week we had a giveaway from Luminance Skincare, and here are the winners.
1st prize goes to Lynn Mathieu
2nd prize goes to Janet of the Taste Space
Congrats chickadees! Kimmy will be in touch with you over the weekend to give you the details on your winnings!
