It Makes Sense by DustBowlChampion
You might be wondering what’s the benefit of air frying cinnamon rolls. Why not just bake them? Well, I can think of a couple of reasons. Firstly, if you bake them, it takes longer, because you have to wait for your oven to preheat. Secondly, the air fryer uses substantially less energy than the oven, saving you money on your energy bill. So, now that I’ve convinced you, let’s make some air fryer canned cinnamon rolls!

How to Make Cinnamon Rolls in the Air Fryer
prep time: 13 min | cook time: 16 min
Prepare the air fryer. Cut a piece of parchment paper that fits perfectly in the bottom of your air fryer basket. I set my air fryer basket on top of the parchment paper, traced it, and cut it out about a cm inside of the traced line. Place the parchment paper inside of the basket.

Open the cinnamon rolls. Wear an apron when you open the cinnamon roll can. They often splatter cinnamon everywhere. I will sometimes open the can over the trash can, outside, or in the sink to reduce the amount of mess I make. I’ve found pieces of cinnamon in my hair after opening a can of cinnamon rolls. I can’t make this shit up.
Place the cinnamon rolls in the air fryer. To fit all 5 cinnamon rolls, you need to use a 6 quart air fryer. My normal air fryer is only a 4qt, but I still have 6qt in the garage because I’m a hoarder and I hate throwing things into the landfill. So, when I want to make all 5 cinnamon rolls, I use my garage air fryer. If you have a smaller one, you can just cook fewer at a time.

Air fry the cinnamon rolls. Set the air fryer to 330°F (165°C), and cook them for 4 minutes. Lift parchment paper out of the basket and set it on the counter. Use a cooking spatula to turn over rolls. Rotate the rolls so the middle one is now on the edge. Place the parchment back into the air fryer.
Repeat the steps. Repeat this process 3 more times, so that the cinnamon rolls are cooking for a total of 4 rounds of 4 minutes each. Rotate the rolls every time.

Cool the cinnamon rolls. Transfer the rolls to a plate or a cooling rack. Cool them for 10 minutes.

Ice and decorate. Cover the cinnamon rolls with the icing that came in the can. I like to transfer the icing to a Lékué deco pen so I have more control over the icing drizzle. But you can also just snip a corner off the icing bag and use it as a piping bag. Or you can spread the icing with a butter knife or the back of a spoon. I also added vegan sprinkles, but this is optional, obvi.

Serve immediately. Serve or store in an airtight tupperware until you’re ready to eat them.

Tips, Questions, and Answers
Tip 1: How to Air Fry a Single Cinnamon Roll
If you’re like me and have zero willpower around sweets, here’s a hack for you. Just air fry a single cinnamon roll, and then wrap the other 4 in cling wrap and store them in a ziplock baggie. Just make sure you cook on each day for the next 4 days, or they will go bad. You also may need to decrease the cooking time with only one roll.
What temp should I use to cook cinnamon rolls in my air fryer?
I’m super picky and need my dough to be fully cooked. Therefore, I set my air fryer at 330°F (165°C). This is the only way to make sure that the slides get cooked all the way and there are no doughy centers.
How long should I cook cinnamon rolls in the air fryer?
If you want to make sure that the cinnamon rolls are cooked all the way through and there are no doughy centers, cook them for 16 minutes in the air fryer.
